Ted Noten  was born in Tegelen in 1956. Studied at the Academy of Applied Arts in Maastricht and the Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam.

Lives works as a jewellery designer in Amsterdam. Guest teacher at academies in Utrecht, Eindhoven, Dusseldorf, Enschede, Sheffield  and Lissabon. 

Exhibitions include many group and solo shows. Prizes: Herbert Hoffmann Preis 1998 (Munich), nomination Design Prize Rotterda m, 1999.  Work in public collections: Schmuckmuseum Pforzheim (D), Museum of Modern Art, Arnhem (NL), Musée des Arts D?corative, Montrea l  (Canada).
