Lin Cheung (Hampshire, UK, 1971) holds a Masters Degree in Goldsmith, Silversmith, Metalwork and Jewellery at the Royal College of Art, London, graduated 1997. She is an international jewellery artist, living and working in London. Research interests include exploring the use and meaning of wearing contemporary jewellery; 2006 working with the charity Heart Research UK on the concept of 'Unwanted Jewellery'. Teaching and lecturing since 1994 and a Visiting Tutor for the BA (Hons) Jewellery course at Middlesex University, UK. Awards: The Arts Foundation Award for Jewellery design (2001); The Goldsmiths' Award for Jewellery (1997) and the Deloitte & Touche Award for Excellence (1997). Notable exhibitions include: ‘Koru2’ International Contemporary Jewellery, Finland (2006), 'Solo exhibition', Gallery Deux Poissons, Tokyo (2005), 'Tafel Plezier, Ontwerpen voor de tafel, Kruithuis Museum, the Netherlands (2003), 'Luxe Interior' International Contemporary Jewellery, CaixaForum, Barcelona (2003), 'Treasure' The Pearoom Centre for Contemporary Crafts, UK (2003), and 'Approaching Content' The Crafts Council Gallery, UK (2003).
