Annelies Planteijdt

Annelies Planteijdt (1956, Rotterdam, NL) studied at the Technical school, Schoonhoven (NL) and the Gerrit Rietveld Academy, Amsterdam (NL).  Her designs are part of big public collections like the SM's, Den Bosch (NL), Het Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam (NL), Museum Boijmans van Beuningen, Rotterdam (NL), and Het Gemeentemuseum, The Hague(NL). She received many awards for her work amongst which the Friedrich Beckerpreis (Hanau, DE), the Herbert Hofmann prize (München, 2006) and an honourable mention at the international silverart competition ‘Absolute Beauty?' in Legnica (PL).
Movement, repetition and transformation are central elements in the work of Planteijdt.
