BLESS (Desiree Heiss, Freiburg, Germany, 1971, and Ines Kaag, Fürth, Germany, 1970) met in 1993 as students at the Concours international des jeunes createurs de la mode in Paris. They collaborate as BLESS since 1995. BLESS has offices and shops in Berlin and Paris. BLESS is a project that presents ideal and artistic values by products to the public.
Among their products and projects are: ‘disposable t-shirts’ (1997), ‘customizable footwear’ (1998), ‘design relativators’ (2002), ‘allroundwear’, ‘perpetual home motion machines’ (2004) and ‘cable jewellery’ (2005).
Solo exhibitions: ‘Droog/BLESS – an exhibition as an exchange project’ at Droogshop in Amsterdam,, the Netherlands (2003); ‘BLESS Nº00 - Nº28’ at Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, Rotterdam, the Netherlands (2006).
BLESS is involved in art, design and fashion exhibitions, festivals, biennials, shops, galleries and museums all over the world.
BLESS designed a mobil as shop interior for Addition Adelaide, Tokyo (2004) and mobils and handrail as museumshop interior for GfzK Leipzig (2004). In 2005 the BLESS perfume was launched.
