Marc Newson was born, Sydney/ Australia in 1963. Works in Paris. Graduated from the Sydney College of Art in 1984, studied jewellery and sculpture.

Interior design projects include: Coast restaurant, London; Swatch Clock Tower for the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games, Atlanta; Syn Recording Studio, Tokyo.
Work in collections include : Powerhouse Museum, Sydney; Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences, Sydney; Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Paris; Vitra Design Museum, Germany. In 1992he was one of the pr ofessors invited to the summer workshops of Vitra Design Museum, Germany. Awards: 1993, `Créateur de l'Année' award, Salon du Meuble de Paris.
