Onno Boekhoudt (1944 - 2002) was born in Hellendoorn, the Netherlands. He graduated at the Staatliche Kunst- und Werkschule Pforzheim, Germany in 1968.
From 1974-1990 he was a teacher at the Silver- and Goldsmithing department of the Gerrit Rietveld Academy, Amsterdam and from 1990- 2002 at theGoldsmithing, Silversmithing, Metalwork + Jewelry Department of the Royal College of Art, London.
Exhibitions include: 'Jewellery in Europe and America, New times, New thinking', Crafts Council Gallery, London (1996) and 'Onno Boekhoudt/Why not Jewellery?', Groninger Museum, Groningen (1997).
Awards: Francoise van den Bosch Award 1996.
